Episode 1
An Understanding Heart!
July is a month of celebrating Independence and the legacy of our pioneer for fathers and ancestors. Their bravery and dream of the future forged what we now call - The Land of The Free. This year it has been particularly difficult for our immigrant brothers and sisters especially those who are refugees or undocumented. They too are pioneers trekking a new path for their families and future. Despite the Media and its incessant attempt to push ideologies of fear and division, I intend to share this story to give a voice to those who do not have one. My wish is to help build a bridge of hope and understanding... not all undocumented immigratnts are criminals. In fact statistics show that few have a criminal record. This I know because I have family and friends who are currently waiting on their immigration status. Many have waited decades and wait even still. It is clear that the U.S.A has a broken immigration system: it requires immoderate help and attention! My hope is to help us see this issue with a different lens. I hope it can help us want to work together to help fix a an issue that affects everyone in this country. With God on our side we can ask for an understanding heart and then take action to work together for a greater good!
